WELCOME TO THE HILLSBORO HIGH BAND

The Mission of the Hilhi Band program is to provide a quality music education to all students. Our focus is building quality by focusing on the individual performer. Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, and solo experience leads to a well-rounded player. Students interested in Mariachi band at Hilhi can contact Mr. Ben Noyes, the Choir director.

Performance opportunities, especially those through the Oregon Music Educators Association, are encouraged for all. Additionally, through the band, a feeling of belonging, teamwork, time management, dedication, self-esteem, leadership, cooperation and responsibility is learned.

Welcome to the 2023 HilHi Spartan Marching Band and Color Guard! Please join us for a mandatory parent meeting on August 20th at 6:00 pm in the Hilhi Auditorium. At that time Mr. Fotland will go over details about band camp and marching season, and answer any questions you may have! You can also pay fees (first payment due on 8/20) and sign up for volunteer shifts.

All percussion and color guard have camp August 14-18th, incoming Freshman have camp August 16-18th and everyone has camp August 21-25.

Please complete your registration by clicking here as soon as possible as the HilHi Band Boosters rely on the online registration form to plan meals, order T-shirts, coordinate volunteers, and for communicating important information to parents.

We also use the information provided during your registration to create band student accounts and update the parent group email distribution so you receive important information directly.

RETURNING BAND STUDENTS STILL NEED TO COMPLETE A REGISTRATION! (Otherwise we don’t know who will be coming to camp.)

Also, please take time to review the Hilhi Band and Color Guard Handbook linked here. (It is undergoing an update, but most of the information is current.) Within the handbook you will find detailed information regarding band practices and events, band fees, volunteer opportunities, and scholarship information.
